Detection of COVID-19 from Chest X-ray and CT Scan Images using Improved Stacked Sparse Autoencoder

The novel Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) has spread rapidly and become a pandemic around the world. So far, about 44 million cases have been registered, causing more than one deaths worldwide. COVID-19 had devastating impact on every nation, particularly economic sector. To identify infected human being prevent virus from spreading further, easy, precise screening is required. can be potentially detected by using Chest X-ray computed tomography (CT) images, as these images contain essential information of lung infection. This radiology image usually examined expert to detect presence symptom. In this study, improved stacked sparse autoencoder used examine images. According result, proposed deep learning model was able achieve classification accuracy 96.6% 83.0% for chest CT-scan respectively.
